Telegram
Get alerts in Telegram, post to your channel and answer the messages people send your bot.
Connect your own Telegram bot and your projects can message you, your team's group or your channel when something happens — a new order, a booking, a form reply — and answer the people who write to your bot.
Create a bot and connect it
In Telegram, open a chat with @BotFather — Telegram's official bot for making bots — and send /newbot.
Pick a display name (what people see) and a username that ends in bot, like adasbakery_bot.
BotFather replies with a token that looks like 123456789:ABCdef…. Keep it private — anyone with it controls your bot. Lost it? Send /token to BotFather for a new one.
Open Connectors → Telegram → Connect, name the connection and paste the token.
Telegram bots can only message people who started them. Open your bot (t.me/<its username>) and press Start once, so the builder can find your chat and send you alerts.
What you can build
How your token is handled
- The token is encrypted on wish4's servers and only sent to Telegram's Bot API — never to a page, a visitor or the AI.
- Free-text sending, broadcasts and bot settings stay behind your login. Public pages can only send the fixed alerts the builder sets up.
- Incoming messages are checked with a secret only Telegram and your project know, so nobody else can fake them.
Troubleshooting
- "chat not found" — the chat ID is wrong, or the person never pressed Start on your bot.
- "bot was blocked by the user" — that person stopped the bot. They need to start it again.
- 401 Unauthorized — the token is wrong or was replaced in BotFather. Paste the new one with Replace key in the Telegram panel.
- Too Many Requests — Telegram allows about one message per second per chat. The builder spaces messages out; big broadcasts take a while.
- "switched off for this workspace" — turn the connection on in the Telegram panel.
