Klaviyo

Grow your Klaviyo lists from your projects and send events that start your flows.

Connect Klaviyo and your projects can add subscribers to your lists (with their consent), keep profiles up to date and send events — sign-ups, quiz results, purchases — that trigger your Klaviyo flows.

Create a private API key

1
Open API keys

In Klaviyo, go to Settings → API keys and create a Private API key. You need to be an Owner or Admin in Klaviyo.

2
Choose access

Full access works for everything. With a Custom key, give write access to profiles, lists and subscriptions to subscribe people, and to events to track events. A Read-only key can't subscribe anyone, and access can't be changed later.

3
Connect in wish4

Copy the key (it starts with pk_ and is shown once), then open Connectors → Klaviyo → Connect and paste it. Use the private key — not the public key / site ID.

What you can build

Newsletter signup“Add a footer signup that adds people to my Newsletter list.”List growth. Subscribes people with their consent; double opt-in lists send their own confirmation.
Quiz → flow“When someone finishes the quiz, send a Quiz Completed event with their result.”Flows that start themselves. Your Klaviyo flow can branch on the result.
Waitlist with SMS“A waitlist form that subscribes people to email and SMS.”Two channels at once. Both consents are recorded in Klaviyo.
Subscriber lookup“An admin page to look up a subscriber by email.”Customer data stays private. Owner-only — visitors can't read profiles.

The builder will ask for your list ID — in Klaviyo open Lists & segments, pick the list and copy the ID from its settings.

Only subscribe people who agreed to hear from you — sign-up forms should say what they'll receive. If the list uses double opt-in, Klaviyo sends the confirmation email itself.

Troubleshooting

  • "Incorrect authentication credentials" — the key is wrong or was revoked. Create a new private key and use Replace key.
  • Permission errors — the key's access doesn't cover what the project does. Create a key with the needed access.
  • "switched off for this workspace" — turn the connection on in the Klaviyo panel.
