Build & Discuss modes
Two ways to talk to the AI: make changes, or think them through first.
The pill next to the mic in the composer switches how the AI treats your messages:
- Build — the default. The AI edits pages, creates pages, wires forms — every message can change your project.
- Discuss — talk only. The AI can see your whole project and will plan, compare options and give opinions, but its tools are off: nothing changes until you switch back to Build.
In Discuss mode the composer tints purple and the placeholder changes — you always know which mode you're in. The choice sticks between visits.
When Discuss shines
- Planning a redesign or a new section before committing to it.
- Asking for an opinion — *“should the booking form ask for a phone number?”*
- Understanding what's on the page — *“why is the hero so slow to load?”*
- Writing copy drafts you'll paste in later.
Agreed on a plan in Discuss? Flip to Build and say *“do it”* — the conversation carries over, so the AI knows exactly what was decided.
