Brevo
Send email and SMS through Brevo, add sign-ups to your lists and start your Brevo automations.
Connect Brevo and your projects can send confirmation and notification emails, add sign-ups to your contact lists (with double opt-in if you like), send SMS and report events that start your Brevo automations.
Create an API key
In Brevo, click your name at the top right → SMTP & API → API keys (app.brevo.com/settings/keys/api).
Click Generate a new API key, name it "wish4" and copy it. It starts with xkeysib- and is shown once.
Open Connectors → Brevo → Connect, name the connection and paste the key. Use the API key — not the SMTP key.
If Brevo's Authorized IPs protection is on, it blocks calls from new servers with an "unrecognised IP address" error. Open Security → Authorized IPs in Brevo and turn off blocking, or allow wish4's server.
What you can build
The builder will ask for your list ID — in Brevo open Contacts → Lists; the ID is the number next to each list. For double opt-in it also needs your DOI template's ID (Campaigns → Templates).
How your key is handled
- The key is encrypted on wish4's servers and only sent to Brevo's API — never to a page, a visitor or the AI.
- Sending email and SMS is kept behind your login, or limited to fixed confirmations to the visitor's own address. Public pages can't send arbitrary messages from your account.
- Contact lists are only readable from admin pages only you can open.
Troubleshooting
- "unrecognised IP address" — Brevo's Authorized IPs protection (see the warning above).
- "Key not found" / unauthorized — the key is wrong or was deleted. Generate a new one and use Replace key in the Brevo panel.
- "sender is not valid" — the from address isn't a verified sender or domain in Brevo. Add it under Senders, domains & dedicated IPs.
- 402 / not enough credits — your Brevo plan's email or SMS credits ran out. Top up in Brevo.
- "switched off for this workspace" — turn the connection on in the Brevo panel.
